Born in Warsaw, Poland in 1984, Joanna began acting professionally in 1999. She trained for two years at the Acting Academy in Warsaw before continuing her studies at the renowned Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York. Since moving to London in 2008, she has steadily built an international career across film, television, theatre, commercials, and voice work, with over 100 productions to her name.

Her credits include leading roles such as the psychological thriller Scopia Effect, which earned her a nomination at the British Film Festival, as well as appearances in acclaimed projects including HBO/Channel 4’s Get Millie Black and Netflix’s The Crown (Season 5). Most recently, Joanna worked opposite Adrien Brody in The Brutalist, portraying a Polish immigrant, and voiced a Ukrainian character for a BBC Radio drama on the war in Ukraine.

She has collaborated with global brands such as BT Broadband (with Ryan Reynolds), Air Wick, Charlotte Tilbury, PlayStation, and Cadbury. Known for her versatility, Joanna frequently plays Polish, Russian, and Ukrainian characters, drawing on her fluency in Polish, English, and German, as well as her strong command of Eastern European accents.

Alongside her acting career, Joanna leads masterclasses and workshops at the London Film Academy and film festivals across the UK, sharing her craft and experience with emerging talent.
