Jojo Silva ★

Jojo Silva's voice has a London tone and she is also a native Portuguese speaker. Jojo also has 10 years experience teaching literature so is really strong in and well suited for audiobooks.

Jojo is a Radio Presenter and Host from London. She is the host of the Early Breakfast Show on Capital XTRA, Monday to Friday.

Along with presenting on on Capital Xtra, Jojo also teaches at an Uxbridge comprehensive. (Where does she find the energy?) After qualifying through the Teach First programme, she gained a Masters in Educational Leadership and has specialised in roles supporting new entrants to the profession. Her passion is introducing young people – especially reluctant readers - to literature as a portal to a wider world and a key to telling their own stories.

As a host, Jojo has covered a variety of events in music, education and literature which includes showcases for the well-known new music platform iluvlive and Marhshall Amps’ festival Hanwell Hootie. In literature, Jojo has chaired talks at leading London events - Ealing Book Festival with Jacqueline Wilson and Lauren Child, Chiswick Book Festival, London Book Fair and SE London Book Fest.
