Yukari Snapes ★

Yukari is a highly experienced Japanese voice-over artist, who has worked in the UK and Japan. Her
versatility is excellent for commercials and documentaries.

Her first media job was a reporter for a local radio station in Japan at the age of 23. Since then, she gradually expanded her career to a voice-over artist, presenter on the television and radio in Japan for 13 years. Besides, she has worked as a presenter for numerous public events.

Having moved to the UK, she gained more experience for another 13 years as a voice-over artist. She has done narration for a series of documentaries produced by the NHK, Japan’s public broadcaster. She has been the regular narrator for the series and the following series of the documentaries for 6 years She got comments that `Her narration is close to the audience’ `Her narration is easy to understand’ from the client and the viewers through her work. With her experience as a radio presenter, she can talk to the audience beyond media. She will deliver your message to the centre of the heart of the audience.

Yukari, has done voice-over for BBC World News promo. Her authoritative voice with a sense of shininess and versatile deliveries enabled to do it for 10 years. She quickly understands the voice required and deliver it. Therefore, she has been called a quick worker.

Yukari has experienced across voice-over genres such as commercial and promo, TV documentaries, cooperate, e-learning, audio guide, audiobook, and character voices as well as presenting `Japan Matsuri’ in London on the JSTV. With her enthusiasm on gardening, she has done live TV presenting from London to Japan on a magazine programme on the NHK, introducing beautiful winter gardens in the UK. She has also worked for a well-known Japanese landscape architect, Mr Kazuyuki Ishihara as his gardener and interpreter at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. She obtained Level 3 Diploma in Garden Design in the UK.

She loves singing and has been one of contestants on the singing competition, which was broadcast on the nationwide TV in Japan.

Yuarai is currently based in Tokyo, Japan.
