Joshua Lay

Joshua delivers exactly what’s required, while always having the range and instinct to bring something unexpected when needed. He takes direction exceptionally well and has a versatile tone suited to a wide spectrum of voiceover projects.

Originally from Surrey, Joshua trained at The BRIT School and ArtsEd. He brings extensive experience across theatre and television, with credits spanning the West End, Paris, Sky Arts, and Netflix. His stage work includes playing Rudolpho in the RSC’s Matilda the Musical (Cambridge Theatre, West End) and performing opposite Sheridan Smith in Funny Girl (filmed for Sky Arts). On screen, he appeared as Angel Gabriel alongside Jack Whitehall in the Netflix special Jack Whitehall: Christmas with My Father.

More recently, Joshua has workshopped new stage work with Dame Emma Thompson, performed in the West End, Sydney, and Off-Broadway in New York in Liz Kingsman’s One Woman Show (as Nick/Phil), and toured Japan in A Chorus Line as Al Deluca. He is currently involved in developing a new musical with Sir Grayson Perry.
