Lucas has a unique and much commented upon timbre to his bright baritone voice, which has been described as captivating and reassuring.

Originally from Cambridge & with a neutral RP he is able to inhabit many characters and is in regular demand as a narrator of literary fiction, particularly Jane Austen and Sherlock Holmes variations.

Lucas first got behind the mic during a work placement at BBC World Service, going on to hone his craft as a presenter and production assistant with legendary broadcaster Ritu Khurana MBE on her show A World In London.

Pivoting from broadcasting to voiceover, Lucas trained with 4C Voices, quickly finding himself in high demand for a variety of genres and booked for his unique tone.

In parallel Lucas is a professional musician, a sought-after drummer in London, and a theatre maker whose debut play A Waltz in New Orleans has appeared at The Cockpit Theatre, Woolwich Works, and Crazy Coqs.

A great listener with a unique gift for finding the rhythm in a script, Lucas brings a noted openness and spirit of collaboration to any session.
